Heard and read a lot about the legendary original Chili Crab from Roland and the original creator Madam Cher. Went on a week day for lunch with my family. Ordered their 2 crab special and was not disappointed. Lovely tasting sauce and succulent crab. Very delicious!

my family loves the chili crab here. best with the fried mantous. very yummy. sauce is not spicy hence suitable for kids. personally, i would recommend the ice plant (salad-like dish) and the signature roland fried rice. so far, misses would be the chicken dishes... dry and not so good on the whole. the pork and prawn dishes are better.

Spacious restaurant with an extensive menu. Though there were some hits and misses, most of the food we ordered were hits. Do skip the sweet sour pork dish as it had too much five spice powder.

Nice food n great service. The boss is always friendly n welcoming. My gal loves the Chili Crab n it’s always a must have dish on the table for her when she goes to Roland Restaurant.

Old school kind of restaurant. Supposedly creator of chili crab. Tried both kind of chili crab with and without eggs, it was different and nice not so ketchup taste n less starchy. We had the fried fish with Thai mango sauce, good! Crispy US duck was good, tender n skin was crispy.

One of the old school Chinese restaurants that the entire extended family goes to over the years during special occasions. Has nice Tim sum and Chinese cuisine. 5 stars for sentimental value and nostalgia. Good to know that the restaurant is still around after all these years. Family had a 10 course meal to celebrate a few birthdays. Cold dish was so so. Would prefer sliced lobster with mayonnaise to lobster balls among other things. Lotus paste bun was ok, but it is always fun to have it styled as longevity peaches which are linked to Chinese mythical stories. Buddha jumps over the wall was nice, but every individual soup pot ingredients are non-uniform. You never know what your going to get till you open the lid. 😂 Suckling pig was awesome! Crispy! 😋 Razor/Bamboo clams were delicious. Asparagus was decent. Drunken prawns were ok. Chilli crab is the signature dish with fried Mantou buns which are a childhood favourite. 🤩 Steamed pomfret was good. US duck was yummy.

Superb dinner and seafood experience with the work team. Everything was done excellently. Deep fried baby squid, duck, Cereal prawns, fish and crabs. Amazing. Will want to come back again with family. 16 Jul 2023: back here to celebrate mum BD. Nice food, firm meaty crabs and excellent service. Tried the curry fish head as it was birthday girl's favourite.

I love the old school vibes here! Traditional Chinese restaurant set in the 80s! This place has been around since 1956, and the food is great! Service is also good! Love the chilli crab here and they are apparently the creators of this iconic dish! We had Buddha jump over the wall soup, baby kailan, chilli crab with mantou, and a fried mee sua. What a memorable and amazing experience! Will definitely be back again soon! We also got to say hi and bye to the friendly founder and owner on our way out!
